HIRE ERIC SIEGEL - THE DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL AND KIND As is probably the case with most people, I too did not know my attorney prior to hiring them. This created a sense of nervousness because I was unsure if I would find the qualities I would like to see in this person who would represent me. But all of this subsided when I met and hired Eric Siegel as my attorney. In short, he was a God-send. In the first 5 minutes of speaking with him, it was abundantly clear that he was the definition of professional and kind. Contributing to my first impression was the fact that Eric was on extended travel, yet he found adequate time to speak with me by phone about the details of my case. Due to the negative circumstances of my case, I was "down and out" to say the least. But upon speaking with Eric, I immediately had great hope that a favorable resolution could be found. Throughout our time working together, I was very impressed by Eric's hard work ethic, high intelligence and appropriate humor. He was always on time for our meetings, whether in person or on the phone. He also was punctual when it came to returning documents for my review. I had contacted him after contacting seven, yes seven different lawyers and each one of them wanted a $500 consultation fee. This was just to hear my case and tell me whether it was a good case or a bad case. They listen to me and said I had no case and that was it. They basically took the money and ran. I came across Mr. Siegel's online ad. Mr. Siegel has NO consultation fee. He will not leave your case like some other lawyers will. Stating a reason of some sort. Mr. Siegel is very direct and to the point. He is very professional, has a good bed side manner, and he does not chit chat too much. He will keep in contact with you about your case ,but again a quick convo. This is to keep the cost down. It may sound rude when talking to him, but he's trying to keep YOUR (mine)cost down and I appreciate that. He went on the facts that I had given him and did an impeccable job on my behalf, of resolving my case. He listens to you, tells you the flat out truth about your case and it might not be what you want to hear, that's because he's honest. After consulting with the National Whistleblower Center and filing an OSHA/DOL complaint, I was put in touch with Eric Siegel. Given the level of respect for the National Whistleblower Center, I trusted the referral. He's busy, he's a lawyer and handles pretty much everything himself so it's to be expected; however, I got all the attention I needed on this matter. No missed deadlines, all submissions were timely and responsiveness was excellent. In any of these situations, you have to have a decent head on your shoulders with reasonable expections, and copies of all the receipts. A lawyer is not a magician and they either won't, or you don't want to pay them to, organize your scrapbook and rolodex. Get your goodies together, learn as much as you can about the law as it relates to your case, then call up Mr. Seigel to get the ball rolling. I ended up reluctantly settling, which went against every fiber in my being. Eric was open to whatever decision I made on the matter, and respectful of my opinions, but I landed as another statistic in the enormous settlement piece of the pie chart, not making a bit of difference for the future. I trust his judgment and he will always be my go-to attorney for any legal dispute that is within his area of expertise. Let me explain why. I first worked with Eric in the fall of 2019 when I was in dire need of a civil rights attorney for an employment disability discrimination case. I was feeling dejected at the position my employer placed me in (jeopardizing my physical and emotional well-being). When I interviewed Eric after having interviewed several other attorneys, I felt he was The One. What is most endearing about Eric of all the attributes that he possesses is his compassion and his earnest belief in you and your cause/your case. When it came time for my trial, three years later in 2022, I watched in utter amazement at his masterful handling of the proceedings, case law and witnesses. I actually came across the Firm via Google Search. Immediately drawn to Eric Siegel’s profile, I was able to sense his genuine concern for the clients he served.
