Biography
About Eric L. Siegel
“CRASH!!”
Glass shatters from an incoming rock.
At age six, my twin brother and I were horsing around at my aunt’s house. Her car’s windshield was the unwitting victim of our rowdy hijinks…
“I didn’t do it!” I immediately declared emphatically, pointing an accusatory finger at my brother.
Then, in a gentle but stern way, my aunt chimed in: “Boys, there are three sides to what just happened. Your side (she was looking at me), your side (she was looking at my brother, Marc), and the truth.”
More than a half-century later, those words continue to stick with me … and they’ve served as “words to live by” as I have pursued my legal career as a trial lawyer and litigator. Make no mistake about it — seeking truth on the road to justice is what drives my passion for law and my steadfast devotion to my clients’ causes.
What else should you know about me as you consider the critical choice that you are now faced with? Well, I’ll begin with some of my background information:
- I combine over 30 years of legal knowledge and courtroom experience with over a decade in business and real estate, wearing many “hats” – including investor, landlord, owner, and public-private partner. While litigation strategies and tactics are at the core of my legal practice, I’ve never lost sight of pragmatic, common-sense approaches and simple business decisions that comprise my “legal toolbox.”
- I’m a former trial attorney with the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, and a non-profit veteran services organization lawyer representing veterans seeking previously denied service-connected disability benefits. My passion to work for the benefit of hard-working Americans and former soldiers has fueled my intense devotion to pursuing justice.
- I represent clients with a broad range of work-related and business issues. Each of my practice areas includes a group of issues that reflect what may arise under that specific practice area. My law practice is dedicated to civil rights, employment, discrimination and retaliation claims; disability rights claims; real estate, construction and commercial litigation; securities and financial institution claims; and whistleblower and False Claims Act litigation.
- I am affiliated with a mid-sized Washington, D.C. law firm that has a global presence. This affords me the option and flexibility to call upon resources and personnel, as needed, for the benefit of clients. In the end, however, clients who hire me get me. Your livelihood, school, children, loved ones, freedoms and other life milestones are too important for me to have it any other way.
- My work in the real estate industry for over a decade has spanned activities from acquisition and financing to leasing, property management and tackling zoning and affordable housing issues. Consequently, my first-hand perspective and understanding of how multi-family and commercial buildings are constructed and managed has provided important insights into handling commercial and real estate disputes as a lawyer.
Next, I’ll share some equally important information on my approach to practicing law:
- While it may seem surprising, many of my clients have never worked with an attorney. So spending the necessary time to educate clients on what they can expect from their lawyer and the legal process is extremely important to me.
- My practice is grounded in a team-oriented approach. In the end, however, I am here to serve my clients … to give them “a voice” and to empower them to make the right decisions for themselves and their situations.
- Finally, as it relates to every client that I work with, and every case that I undertake – I firmly and passionately believe that, when seeking legal help, people look for a lawyer who they can trust … who is transparent and accountable … who works hard to do right by them … and who is honest and candid about the strengths and weaknesses of the case. These principles have consistently served as the cornerstones of my work as an attorney for more than three decades.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you and can guarantee that I will work zealously to pursue a successful resolution on your behalf. In the process, I strongly believe that in partnering with Eric Siegel Law, you’ll feel confident that you’ve made the Right Choice.
I have successfully conducted jury and bench trials in both federal and state courts throughout the United States. I also represent clients before various administrative federal and state agencies, including but not limited to the Merit Systems Protection Board, the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

A Message From A Happy Client
I trust this message finds you in good spirits.
I am writing to you today with a heart full of gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional legal representation you provided in my recent civil case against my medical provider.
I cannot adequately express the depth of emotion I felt as I logged into the medical provider’s platform today and, for the very first time, experienced its functionalities in a manner that truly reflected inclusivity and accessibility.
Your tireless efforts and steadfast advocacy have not only facilitated significant improvements to the platform but have also restored a sense of dignity and empowerment that had long been elusive.
The newfound ability to access my medical records, review vaccination histories, and engage with messages from my healthcare providers is nothing short of transformative.
For nearly five years, I navigated the platform with frustration and disappointment, unable to fully participate in my own healthcare journey. Today’s experience serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact your work has had on my life and the lives of countless others facing similar challenges.
In light of this monumental achievement, I humbly request that you convey my heartfelt gratitude to both opposing counsel and the team at my medical provider. Their willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and their commitment to addressing accessibility concerns demonstrate a shared commitment to fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. Together, we have taken a significant step towards realizing that vision.
Once again, Eric, I want to extend my sincerest thanks for your unwavering dedication and unparalleled expertise throughout this process. Your passion for justice and your tireless pursuit of accessibility rights have made an indelible impact on my life, and for that, I am profoundly grateful.
With warmest regards,
Laurel
